Core Instructor Course

Course Information

The First Aid International Core Instructor Course has two options. The Instructor Development and the Instructor Orientation Course.

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is designed for candidates who are experienced in first aid and wish to train others in the skills and knowledge they have gained.

The IDC is conducted over 3 days and concludes with the standard FAI instructor examination.

The Instructor Orientation Course (IOC) is for experienced instructors wishing to crossover from other training organisations.

The IOC course is designed to familiarise instructors with FAI methodology, materials and standards and procedures.

The IOC is conducted over 2 days and concludes with the standard FAI instructor examination.

Both options will prepare you to instruct and assess the full range of FAI core programmes.

These currently include:
• Emergency First Aid
• Basic First Aid
• Paediatric First Aid
• Sports and Activity First Aid

You will receive a full instructor resource kit which includes all the materials necessary to conduct the above mentioned course.

At the conclusion of the Instructor Course you will be eligible to take the instructor examination. If successful you will be entered in to the register of certified FAI Instructors.
